The Department of Economics is one of the leading centers for research in technological economics among Chinese universities. It offers an undergraduate program in Economics, as well as graduate programs in Technological Economics and Management, Regional Economics, and Asset Valuation.

Faculty members have led numerous research projects funded by national, provincial, and municipal agencies.
